By car
From Eindhoven: Coming from Eindhoven, follow the A2 motorway towards
Maastricht and take the exit to Valkenburg. Then follow the signs to Valkenburg.
From Brussels: Follow the A3/E40 motorway from Brussels towards Liège. In Liège, follow the E25 motorway towards Maastricht. In Maastricht, take the A79 motorway towards Valkenburg/Heerlen, then take exit 3 Valkenburg. At the bottom of the exit, turn right towards Valkenburg.
From Cologne – Aachen: Drive from Cologne towards Aachen, Aachen Heerlen E314, follow the A79 motorway towards Heerlen, Valkenburg, Maastricht. Take exit 3 Valkenburg-Houthem (not Valkenburg Centrum). At the bottom of the exit, turn left at the roundabouts towards Valkenburg.
In Valkenburg, follow the signs to the general parking areas.
Public transport
Valkenburg aan de Geul is centrally located in South Limburg and is easily
accessible by public transport. Valkenburg a/d Geul has a railway station, which is a 10-minute walk from the Velvet Cave Christmas market. Trains run four times an hour from Maastricht and Heerlen to and from Valkenburg. Valkenburg can also be reached by train from Kerkrade and Aachen (Germany). In addition,

We advise you to use public transport as much as possible, given the large
crowds that are expected.
